"This" being spending time with Matt everyday. "This" being staying in the same house. "This" being hanging out with his family and friends. "This" being falling in love with him more and more everyday...
Too sentimental? Think what you want, but this week at home with Matt for Thanksgiving has been great. We got in at 5:30 am Saturday morning (drove all night) and then slept till mid-afternoon. We went and saw the "It's a Wonderful Life" play with his brother (kudos to Ryan for the free tickets). Sunday was church and then we went for a drive to see his old stomping ground. Monday we went snowboarding and then Terry met up with us for dinner and we went to his house at WMU and watched Iron Man. Tuesday we just kinda vegged and Wednesday we took Ryan, his sister Allison and her friend to see Bolt. Then Matt and I went to devo and talked with Carmen a little after. Yesterday was the big Thanksgiving dinner with a bunch of his family. Mmm, mmm... I was stuffed! We kinda just relaxed after that and then when everybody left we went to his other grandma's to visit. We went with his mom to K-Mart for a little while and then met up with Terry & Alisha to see Twilight. Then we went back to Terry's parent's house and played Trouble, talked, watched Hook and didn't get home till 6 am. Today we're meeting up with a bunch of people to see the Grand Rapids Griffins play hockey. Tomorrow is our last day here. I'm kinda sad about that. It's been so great but I guess it can't always be this perfect. In amongst all of our activities, we've had some time to just be together and have some great conversations and I feel myself falling harder everyday.
Yep, I could get used to this....

Late Night Editing
Business plan: we met Monday night... I typed up the Critical Risks section Tuesday night... I typed up the Executive Summary today... we met again tonight and put everything together... Matt worked on formatting tonight... via chatting online I helped him edit the whole thing... Sketch is modifying something on the financials tonight/tomorrow morning and sending them to Matt... get the whole thing printed off and bound at the media center tomorrow afternoon... turn it in on Friday morning. Whew.
I was pretty excited when I came back from the meeting tonight because I thought my part of the plan was done. But here I sit at 1:30 am editing it with Matt online. (Oh the joys of technology). Anyways, we're done now and I'm going to bed... so much for going to bed early tonight...

You Ain't From the Country Are Ya?
Got this in an email from my uncle... growing up in rural Alberta, I thought it was amusing...
Travelin' at Twice the Speed Of Light
Ok so the title is from a good Sugarland song, but it's pretty much true right now. Life is a little nuts. There's only one week left till Thanksgiving break (hallelujah!) but there's so much to be done between now and then. I'm doing 3 loads of laundry right now and really should be doing some homework but I felt the need to update this thing. First some exciting things...
-Saturday night I got to see Reba McEntire and Kelly Clarkson in concert. I've pretty much been a Reba fan since I was like 3 and always swore that if she was playing anywhere near where I lived that I was going to go. She's been in my general area twice before but the deck was stacked against me and I was never able to go. When I found out she was playing in Little Rock I decided I HAD to go. Nikki and I went and it was AMAZING. Like I said, I'm a huge Reba fan and I like Kelly too so it was quite the dynamic duo. I thought we were never gonna get there (we got to Beebe before I realized I had left the tickets on my desk... and then we encountered some serious road rage when we were leaving Carino's and I thought we were gonna get shot... yeah it was quite the night) but we eventually got there and it was totally worth it.
-Last weekend I got to go to ATL with Nikki and meet all people she worked with/for at the church there this summer. We got there late Friday night and pretty much just crashed at Sarah Lee's house (who I quickly became friends with - she's so much fun!). Then we went shopping on Saturday afternoon on The Avenue and I bought a cool AE hoodie (on sale...yes!) Then we went back to Sarah Lee's and got all dressed up for dinner downtown (Atlantic Station). We were going to take some fancy pics afterwards but the wait was so long for dinner that by the time we got done, we weren't really up to taking pics and just wanted to go home. We went back to Sarah Lee's and had a fantastic time just hanging out and laughing a lot. Then at church Sunday morning I got to see J.D. & Lana Partain which was great. Perhaps even greater was running into fellow ARWC-er Kristen Phipps who just happened to be up from Florida College visiting them on the same weekend I was there. We figured it out and the last time we saw each other was like junior high. It was so wonderful seeing her again!
-Phil called me last nite with some incredibly exciting news... her and Jon are expecting!! I must admit it's still taking some time to sink in that my best friend is having a baby... but the news of her getting married (and me being maid of honor) sunk in eventually so I'm sure this will too! I'm so happy for them - they will make such a cute little family. And I told her that before I graduate I'm buying a baby t-shirt from the Harding bookstore. (I'm pretty sure I'm like an honorary aunt or something so I gotta support the new addition to the Stewart family!) Congrats Jon & Phil! :)
Those have been the highlights of the last little while. Other than that... we worked our butts off for our sample case for SAM case team and we presented last Tuesday night. Frazier and Emerson were pretty hard on us but I was still proud of how much we got done in 2.5 weeks. And now we get a break until January. I started feeling gross after the presentation and ended up spending the next 2 days in bed with the flu. I still felt a little weak over the weekend but I'm feeling much better now. Our final copy of the business plan is due on Friday so we have a lot of work to do this week to polish everything up. Room inspec is tomorrow at noon so we have to clean hardcore tonight (it's the dorm mom doing this one, not the RA). We have a 20-30 page group paper and 15 min group presentation due in IB the Tuesday after break so we pretty much have to get most of our stuff finished for that this week too. And we have an IB test tomorrow. Needless to say, this week is a little crazy... I'm so happy I get to go home with Matt over the break and get away from all this craziness for a week!
