First of all, I want to say that I'm feeling much better after last night's post of worry and doubt. I had a really long talk with Matt last nite and in addition to me getting some things off my chest, he said a lot of things I needed to hear. He definitely calmed my fears a bit and gave me the reassurance I was so desperately needing. Thank you so much, Matt...it was exactly what I needed last nite :)
Second, I can't believe today is the last day of the year. It seems like it was not that long ago that I was ringing in 2007. It is mind-boggling to think of all the things that have happened (good and bad) since this time last year. Everything has been a learning experience (at least I hope it has). Here's to hoping that 2008 brings many more experiences of love, learning and lots of laughter. All the best to everyone...stay safe (please!) and have fun w/ those that mean the most to you! :)
HAPPY NEW YEAR! :)

Too Much Time To Think
**WARNING: Long post. Read at your own risk**
I've realized in the past few days of not having a real schedule that maybe this is why I stay fairly busy all the time... Don't get me wrong, I've enjoyed being able to sleep, read, play around on the comp and watch Brian Regan DVDs w/ Dad. But with that comes a lot of time for thinking...too much time. Unfortunately a lot of this thinking has been negative. Worrying about the future and doubting lots of things has got me a little messed up in the past few days. My mind is having a better day today so I thought I might be able to blog with a little clearer mind. Here's some things I've been thinking about...
-Next semester: Matt is most likely getting a promotion in his job. I'm really proud of him...he's worked ridiculousy hard and they're finally recognizing it. But along with this new status comes new hours...and a lot more of them...42 per week to be exact. And he has 18 credits next semester while I only have 14. Needless to say our time spent together is going to be a little more limited and that kinda worries me. I want to be the supportive girlfriend that can be flexible and deal with whatever comes our way...but I'm just so afraid I'm gonna get part way through the semester and snap. It's hard to draw the line between being selfish by wanting to spend time with him vs. being concerned about our relationship needing some quality time.*sigh* I'm trying to take it one day at a time, but it's tough...and I'm terrified.
-Next summer: My aunt offered me my job back at the office but I'm not sure I want it. I've worked there 4 summers...I'm kinda wanting something new....and maybe with a bigger paycheck. But it's hard to resist the security of having that job lined up when I get home from school. Speaking of coming home, I'll only be home like 5 days before Phil's wedding...which as the maid of honor, bothers me. I want to be able to help more than that. And then the fact that my 21st bday is the day before her wedding. Mom and I had always planned on spending my 21st in NYC. Mom said we can go after her wedding...which leads me to my next point...I have so many things I'd like to do this summer that I won't have time to work. But if I don't work then I can't afford anything I want to do. Oh life is a vicious cycle! I want to do the trip to NYC, I want to counsel at ARWC for the 20th year anni, Mom was talking about a possible trip for the 4 of us to Texas since Dale and Evan didn't get to see much cuz everything was rushed w/ the big 50th, Matt was talking of coming up to visit again (and I would love to not be working when he's here this time)...how can I possibly get that much time off?? And beyond that, where should/can I even get a job?
-Relationships: This break has been a little tough on me when it comes to missing Matt. We had only been together for a week before summer break so things were still fairly new. Now I have a whole semester full of memories and seeing each other every day so xmas break seems much harder. And because my mind has been in a thinking mode...the distance makes me doubt things. It's hard to feel how much he cares when he's not physically here to reassure me. I'm the type that needs some reassurance in that department and phone/online conversations don't always quite cut it. Doubt starts to creep in and I start worrying too much...ughh. Add in that everyone is asking me about when I'm getting engaged (and that Phil is recently engaged and we're discussing wedding plans)...and my mind starts wondering about the future. On one hand it feels like everyone is rushing me to get married and on the other hand it feels like they're saying to wait. Well I don't care what they say, I plan on waiting till I at least get out of college... but it makes one think hard about certain things. Questions keep running through my head (not necessarily about Matt and I but just about relationships/marriage in general): The most confusing one is "where do you draw the line between loving someone completely despite their flaws vs. settling for less than you want?"
Like I said...maybe this is why I keep a busy schedule...

North of the 49th
Well I'm home! We made it back from TX Monday nite, came home and ate a quick bite of dinner, wrapped presents, decorated christmas cookies (they'd been saving it till I got home) and went to bed (only after I played a little old school super mario bros....super nintendo style!) Christmas morning I slept in, helped Dale w/ the turkey, Dale went to pick up Mom from the airport (she had an early morning flight to work...yuck), I did dishes and folded laundry while Evan was in the shower and then I hopped in the shower. Mom got home and we got a few things ready for xmas dinner and then opened presents. Everyone seemed to love their gifts from me so that made me happy. And my family got me some wonderful presents...THANKS GUYS! Then Mom and I finished the prep for xmas dinner while Dale and Evan worked on setting up the foosball table that Santa brought me and Ev! We ate our big meal (de-lish!) and then cleaned up. I called Nikki and Matt to wish them Merry Christmas and then Dale's 2 sisters and their families came over. Steve and Megan (the two older cousins) couldn't make it so it was just the little kids...they were so cute to watch opening their presents. We visited w/ them and then they went home. Dale and Evan finished setting up the foosball table while I messed w/ my NEW PHONE (woohoo!) and then Evan and I had one game before we went to bed...and I dashed Ev's hopes of beating me. haha! I came to Dad's today and did gifts w/ him. Now we're just relaxing. Hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas and enjoy the rest of the holidays with family and friends!

50 Years and Going Strong
Well the big 50th went down great. The service was beautiful...I cried. Uncle Lyle did a fantastic job, the church looked gorgeous, Papa and Nana looked wonderful in their ORIGINAL wedding clothes (how many people do you know that can do that???), everyone else in the wedding party looked great and everything went off without a hitch...well except for the hitch that was renewed :) Then there was cake and punch afterwards and then a massive clean-up effort. By the time it was all said and done, we came home, changed clothes, made a quick Taco Bell run (I felt like I was back at school doing late-nite-20-minute-before-curfew TB runs) and then collapsed into bed. It was a great day but I was definitely glad when it was over. Today we're going for a huge family lunch (all 15 of us) and then we're going to chill at Grapevine Mills Mall for awhile. Hooray for a day that doesn't involve decorating the church and running around like crazy!

I should be in bed
The title is the truth. I should be. But no, I am still up on the computer when I should be getting the much needed rest that a person w/ a nagging cold needs to survive the BIG DAY. Tomorrow is the day. The big 50th for Papa and Nana. They are renewing their vows and everything...my uncle is pretty much performing a whole other wedding service for them. It's gonna be pretty sweet...and most of my time since coming to Uncle Lyle and Aunt Carrie's has been devoted to shopping, decorating, shopping, decorating...ah, you get the picture. It's been a little hectic but good. Up until today when Aunt Susan left for AR with her 3 dogs, there was 9 people and 6 dogs in the house...aka slight chaos and interesting sleeping arrangements. I woke up this morning (sleeping on an air mattress in the living room) w/ 5 out of the 6 dogs lying there with me. They snuggled right in and didn't bother me too much so I just fell back asleep. It's hard to describe how I'm feeling right now. I'm tired (see title of this post haha). This cold has been bugging me for almost 2.5 weeks. I'm anxious about how everything is going to go tomorrow. I'm excited to be part of this joyous landmark occasion. I love my big family and this chance for us to all be together...but sometimes they grate my nerves like none other. My uncle is sitting at the other computer working on the service for tomorrow...he just read me what he has so far...there's not gonna be a dry eye in the house tomorrow nite if he continues the way he's going...wow...awesome. I'm excited to go home. [To see snow. To sleep in my bed, in my house. To see my dogs and cats. To see the other family that isn't here. To see Phil and help her w/ wedding plans (ahh!). To see my other friends. To hopefully RELAX some.] I'm worried about one of my friends back home and her recent cutting episodes. I miss my roomie/best friend...a lot. I miss my suitemates and their ability to always make me laugh. I miss my boyfriend and his big strong arms that make me feel so safe. I miss the fact that I normally see the above 3 categories of people every day. I am excited to see Allison & Grady & Caitlin now that they are back on the continent!
Like I said, it's hard to describe how I'm feeling. And like I said...I should be in bed!

A Toast to Grandparents!
I've always loved my grandparents. But this visit has been different. Maybe because I'm more sentimental because it's the holiday season. Or maybe I'm just more emotional because it has been kind of a stressful semester. Or maybe I'm maturing and realizing just how great of a blessing grandparents are. Whatever the case, I've felt exceptionally good about spending time with them this time.
Nana and I have reminisced about when I was little and would serve her "lunch" from My Little Tyke's Kitchen or serving her "tea" with the yogurt containers I played with in the bathtub. And of course we've talked about the famous roadtrip of 2000 where the 3 of us traveled down to TX and back and had so many funny stories and memories along the way.
I've been able to ask Papa a lot of questions this visit. I've heard that everyone has a story to tell but not enough people ask them to tell it. I've been drinking in the tales of smoking ham in the smokehouse, eating rabbit stew, and of course about his days in the Air Force (esp. in Iceland and Alaska).
At church on Sunday, I sat between them and held both of their hands during the prayers. Nana's hands...always a bit chilly ("Nicole warm my hands up!") but soft from her careful moisturizing. Hands that are wrinkled from scrubbing floors, doing countless loads of laundry and making the best darn biscuits in the world...and don't even get me started about her cherry supreme cake!! And there's something indescribable about holding Papa's hands. Though his right hand shakes from his Parkinson's disease, I still feel safe with my little hand completely enveloped in his big leathery hand-worn by years of service-to his country, to his family and to his God.
Their 50th wedding anniversary is on Friday. Though I look forward to seeing everyone at home and I'm already missing Matt and my school friends, I know that I wouldn't have it any other way than for me to be here with all the family to celebrate the lives of love that these 2 individuals-my very own grandparents-have led thus far. Ladies and gentlemen, raise your glasses...To Grandparents!

It's All Over
Well I made it. I survived finals week. I thought I was never gonna make it through. It wasn't that finals were so hard...just everything kinda all together at once was stressing me out big time. But I made it. I'm currently sitting in the LR airport waiting for my delayed flight to Dallas...but hooray for free wi-fi! I would blog more because I have the time but I'm exhausted and don't have any interesting thoughts...more to come soon...

Life is full of surprises!
So I talked to Phil (best friend back home) last Friday nite and found out she was engaged...which was exciting enough as it is....then tonite I talked to her and she asked me to be her maid of honor!!! I'm SO excited! I'm definitely honored and thrilled that she asked me. The wedding is May 17th...the day after my 21st birthday! That's gonna be a good weekend :)
Speaking of surprises...last nite we had a surprise birthday thing for Nikki. Her bday isn't until the 18th but we'll all be gone on break by then so we celebrated it last nite. There were 9 of us that went to Little Rock for dinner @ Carino's (Italian place) and then drove thru a Christmas light display called "Enchanted Forest" in Sherwood. Then we came back to campus and played some games in our lobby. It was a lot of fun and I could tell she was excited to have all her friends together for the nite. Props to Brenna--my partner in crime--for all the planning efforts! :)
I actually finished everything that was due this past week so that was a relief. There were days when I was questioning whether I'd get it all done. And I finished my LAST personal finance online quiz EVER this afternoon...woohoo!! Now it's just finals this coming week and then I'm done. I can't wait. Now it's just getting motivated to study for them...

Who Wouldn't Wanna Be Me
It's been a kinda stressful week but seriously, I have it good. I just got off the phone with my little bro. Nothing makes you feel better than a vote of confidence from your 11-yr old brother. And to hear the excitement in his voice when he says he's looking forward to seeing you at xmas break. I told him basketball season had started and I'd been to see a couple games. He asked me if I'd played any yet. Here's pretty much how the convo went:
"Nah, I'm not on the team"
"Aw that sucks, you should be!"
"Nah, I'm not good enough for college basketball"
"Oh whatever! You're so good!"
"So you think I could make the team eh?"
"Oh yeah! You would totally waste everybody!!"
And my little bro isn't the only one that loves me...my awesome boyfriend took me to the Keith Urban concert in Little Rock last nite. What an awesome show! I had such a blast and I loved spending time the time with Matt. I can't believe Wednesday is 7 months for us...I must admit, I love the guy! Add in the fact that I have awesome friends...and life is pretty good. (Minus all the stuff I have due this week...*ahem* but that's not the point). So life kinda sucks sometimes but still...who wouldn't wanna be me? :-)

How To Kill A Fly In A Microwave
Step 1: Open microwave door
Step 2: Wait patiently for fly to come in range of the microwave
Step 3: Shoo fly towards microwave
Step 4: Slam microwave door shut
Step 5: Cook on high for 12 seconds
Step 6: Remove dead fly from microwave with paper towel
Props to Joni and Nikki, my partners in pest control...oh the things we do in college!

Making Memories of Us
I got back last nite from a wonderful Thanksgiving Break. A whole week of no classes, no homework and no work...it was fantastic. Staying up late and sleeping in, getting to meet more of his family and friends and getting to just kick back and relax made for an excellent break. Pics are on facebook for your viewing pleasure. I loved getting to see "his world" since I got to share mine with him this summer. I got along well with his friends and family and I loved getting to hang out with him every day for a week. It was just the right mix of fun stuff and relaxation. We got the chance to joke around and to have deep conversations. Overall... Matt, if you're reading this...thanks for taking me home with you. I had a great time and I have lots of great memories of the trip! :)
Getting back to school was cool in the fact that I got to see my best friend again and catch up with everybody about their breaks. Going back to classes today sucked though. I'm definitely not in the routine. Nikki and I went to Outback again tonite and then drove around listening to music...oh the things we do in the name of spontaneity! Can't believe there's only 2 more weeks of classes and then finals!

Girls Just Wanna Have Fun
That's the name of my latest photo album on Facebook. Feel free to check it out! Nik and I went shopping in Little Rock yesterday. Her dad recently got a promotion and with it a fairly substantial raise, so her parents told her (and me!) to go on a shopping spree in LR to celebrate. We got some excellent deals and had a lot of fun. (And I got part of Matt's xmas gift...I hope he likes it!) We finished the night off with dinner at Outback. I'd never actually eaten there so that was fun. We got back to campus and played Yahtzee in the SC with Matt and Greg. It was a good day. Hooray for great roomies! :)
Friday nite we read for PF and took the quiz so we wouldn't have to do it today (reading and taking the quiz is always the most depressing part of Sunday afternoons!) It's nice to have that out of the way and now I just have 1 one more application to finish and then I'll turn those in tomorrow morning. Tonight I re-read the book "Who Moved My Cheese?" so I can give it to Matt tomorrow. We have to write papers over it for MGT and they are due Friday.
I leave you with a joke told to me by my little bro (whom I got to talk to last nite on the phone...hooray!)....
"What do you get when you cross a policeman and a skunk?"

Coffee and Oatmeal and Other Food for Thought
Since my World of Bus. test only took me FIVE minutes this morning, I had time to come back to my dorm and eat breakfast. Now here I sit sipping my coffee and pondering the meaning of life...OR...I'm making yet another to-do list (it's kinda the same right? HA! I'm so Type A). I turned in a PF project on Tues, knocked out the Romans test yesterday and the WOB test today...my "everything that has to be done before Thanksgiving" list is coming along nicely. Nowhere near done, but getting there...
One thing I've noticed about my classes this semester is that I'm starting to see that they have (or will have) actual application to my life. The gen eds that we had to take perhaps made me a "well-rounded" person with knowledge in science, the arts, etc.... and while some of them were interesting, I didn't see much application to my life or my career. But this semester I'm really starting to see application. It's pretty neat when you can be listening to a lecture or reading in your textbook and go "whoa, I never thought of it like that" or "that's really interesting, I can use that!" My management textbook last nite was talking about conflict resolution. It sparked a discussion with Nikki while we were doing homework in the library and it continued all the way back to our dorm room. It was one of the best conversations we've had in a long time. I'm not saying we talked about my management homework the whole time but it was interesting how that began the conversation to begin with. I guess I've really been feeling like I actually want to LEARN things now instead of simply absorbing the material and then regurgitating it on a test. I see some excellent qualities in some of my professors and I would love to be able to just talk to them and get advice from them both personally and professionally. I feel like there's this wealth of resources right at my fingertips...now the only problem is figuring out the best way to tap into it all...

6 Months Today :)
Yep that's right, it's already been 6 months since Matt asked me out. It's kinda hard to believe how time has flown. I don't know if Matt even reads this but if you do, I love you and thanks for 6 months of love, learning and laughter :)
Homecoming was this weekend. The musical (The Wizard of Oz) was great. I somehow made it through 20 years of my life w/o seeing the movie or the play so Friday was the first time I'd seen the show. Ridiculous I know! I knew a bunch of the songs, most the characters and even some of the lines but it was fun to piece it all together and see it in its entirety. Unfortunately they had some tech difficulties and the mics weren't working real great, esp. Dorothy's. I felt so bad for them...they work so hard at getting everything just right and then their mics give out on them. Oh well, it was still great. The Bison Bash (car bash, bonfire, guitar solo contest, and s'mores for those of you non-HU readers) was fun Friday nite too. The football game on Saturday was ridiculously long but HU won 62-55...woohoo! I got to go to a couple meals and spend some time with Matt and his mom and brother. I told Matt last nite that I'm a little nervous about Thanksgiving Break. He said I have nothing to be worried about...his mom apparently likes me and said she was looking forward to me coming to visit. *sigh* that's a relief :)
Speaking of Thanksgiving, I'm definitely gonna need the break. In the next 2 weeks I have 4 tests, 3 quizzes, 3 projects, and a 3-5 page paper due. And registering for spring semester classes next week. Yikes! On that note, I'm off to go meet with my advisor for my degree evaluation...ciao!

Just Another Day...
I'm not going to lie. I got a little homesick today. Mom always made Halloween so much fun. When I was a kid she always helped me get my costume together and sometimes she would even dress up to hand out candy to the trick-or-treaters. In recent years she really let her decorating skills go crazy and made our deck and sidewalk look phenomenal with cool decorations and such. Today didn't even feel like Halloween here. A couple of my professors gave us a bit of candy in class and I saw a couple people dressed up but that was it. I didn't know anybody having a costume party and we're kinda too old for trick-or-treating. They didn't allow kids to come through our dorms this year so I don't even get to see the little kiddies. It's kinda depressing. Definitely made me realize how much I liked being home for certain holidays. However, I'm trying to remain positive and remind myself that it's better to be away from home on a little holiday like Halloween than being away from home at Christmas!! (Yet another holiday that Mom makes exciting...well family in general makes it awesome). In other news...
-The management test on Monday was a breeze, the Law test today went pretty well I think, and Personal Finance is cancelled tomorrow so our project isn't due until Tuesday...score!
-The girls on Harding's volleyball team rocked it 3-0 last nite in the Gulf South West Championship game. What a great thing to watch! I forgot how good our v-ball team was...I haven't been to a game in a long time. It's kinda cool to see people you know playing in important games like that!
-Nikki and I had a roommate date Monday nite. Pool, air hockey, dinner and watching M*A*S*H. It was good to have some hang-out time...we don't get that as much these days with everyone's schedule being so crazy (and me trying to balance a boyfriend and friends...)
-This weekend is Homecoming. The musical this year is Wizard of Oz and I know a few people in it so I'm excited to go see that Friday nite. Matt's mom and bro are coming this weekend so I'll get to meet his bro for the first time.
Well that's all for tonite...I actually don't have that much homework tonite so I'm pretty excited...perhaps time for some more M*A*S*H? :)

When Somebody Loves You...
In case you were thinking that I in fact did not survive the crazyness of last week...you're wrong. I am alive and well and I survived just fine! It was a little intense but I made it...
-I spent 3 hours in the library working on my training manual but finally finished it. Grades were posted over the weekend and I made a 98!!
-Grades were also posted for that Bus. Comm test that was such a hassle to reschedule...the 94 makes the hassle a little less annoying!
-I finished that management paper about my leadership role model over my lunch break on Friday. I wrote about my mom :)
-I turned in one of those Personal Finance projects on Thursday and he didn't seem to mind that it was so late...score!
-After finishing my training manual and PF project Wednesday night I hung out with Matt for a bit. It's funny how the very first time you hear those 3 little words you just can't stop smiling :)
This weekend was a lot of fun. Scattergories in the student center, homework at Riverside Park, going out for dinner, playing a couple games of pool, watching movies in the dorm...sounds like a recipe for fun. I love being able to spend time with my friends and boyfriend again!
Here's to another busy week...2 tests, a quiz and a project due...sometimes I wonder when it's gonna end!

Scrabulous Isn't Working?!?!
For anyone who's wondering, Scrabulous is a new application on Facebook that Matt and I have been playing lately. The other nite we stayed up till 3:15 just to finish a game of online Scrabble. Kinda ridiculous, I know...but definitely a lot of fun! I tried to get on and play my next move just now and it's experiencing technical difficulties. Haha maybe the supposed "kinks in the application" are to be construed as a sign for me to quit messing around on the net and get to work on the mountain of homework that awaits me.
What's Done:
-4 Romans Applications (turned them in this morning)
-10 articles found for BC training manual
-Project #2 for Personal Finance started
What's Left to Do:
-Find a few more articles for BC training manual, do a table of contents and bibliography, organize it all together in the binder
-Finish PF Project #2
-Start and finish PF Project #3??
-Go to Staples and get new ink cartridge??
And that's just what's due tomorrow...by Friday I have to do a 1-2 page paper in Management, read a chapter in Law and read a chapter in the textbook for Romans (we have a quiz Fri morning).
Here's to not dying by the end of the nite...or the week...

Raining with a High of 53
I'm not going to lie. Arkansas weather sucks sometimes. This weekend was gorgeous with highs in the mid/high 70s and lots of sunshine. But yesterday it started raining again (we seem to go in spells here) and it's raining again today. Except today, in addition to the rain, it's only supposed to be a high of 53 degrees...even for a Canadian that's miserable weather! I came back to my room and made myself some hot chocolate...partially for warmth and partially because hot chocolate just tastes good on days like today :)
I got my binder for my Bus. Comm. training manual last nite and so far I've found 5 articles so I've got a good start. I hope to find some more tonite. I'm finished with all but one of my Romans applications so tomorrow's deadline isn't so scary anymore. Doing one of them tonite won't take long at all. I started one of my Personal Finance projects last nite so the goal is to finish it tonite and hopefully start my other one too. Then I have a little bit of reading to do for Comm. Law.
In other news, I'm starting to look forward to Thanksgiving Break. Matt invited me to come home to Michigan with him. I've already met his parents once but I've never met his brother and sister. I'm a little nervous but I'm pretty excited too. He came to visit me this summer and I got to show him "my little world" so I'm excited to learn about his. And I'm just looking forward to a week where neither of us have to worry about homework and he doesn't have to work. The span between the start of school and Thanksgiving gets sooo long so I think it'll be a much needed break. And speaking of breaks, since my 1:00 class was cancelled today, I think I'm going to take a nap (rainy days are perfect for those!) before I get started on my homework...

There's More To Life Than What's In The Book
The above quote is from my somewhat crazy but yet strangely likeable Personal Finance professor. I'm not going to lie, at the beginning of the semester I wasn't his biggest fan but I've grown to like him as the semester has gone on and particularly because of last class where I got to see more of his character (which consequently we talked about aliens and ghosts but that's a whole other story...) Anyways, I thought his quote was great. He was saying that there is more to life than what's in our textbook and that's why he's okay with discussing other stuff in class (even if it is aliens and ghosts). I thought that the quote really fit well with my life as of late...all this homework that I've been catching up on...but there's more to life than homework...so I've been trying to take time to be with the people I care about in amongst everything else. Friday nite Matt took me out to dinner and then we went bowling with a group of our friends. Saturday was sleep in, some homework, and then a corn maze with a bunch of friends. Sunday was homework, church, and hanging out with friends (and Matt for a bit). Now it's time for another week...and it's gonna be another busy one...
-Personal Finance is cancelled for Tuesday so my goal is to have my 2 [really late] projects done by Thursday. He hasn't said anything about them lately so I don't think he's too worried but I want them out of my way.
-Romans applications (four 1.5-2 page write-ups) are due Wednesday...but I already have 1 done! Oh and there's a little reading quiz on Friday but those are pretty routine so I'm not too worried.
-Bus. Comm. training manual is due Thursday...that's gonna be a lot of work. I already have my outline, now I just need to find a ton of material...and go to Walmart to get a binder to put it all in!
On a good note however, I don't have any tests this week!! I officially finished all my tests on Friday afternoon. It was supposed to be Thursday nite at 6:00 but due to a series of ridiculous and slightly frustrating events I wasn't able to take it until Friday at 4:00 pm. Ugh...but that's a whole other story in itself...I should get to bed!

Takin' Care of Business
Well I'm slowly but surely getting caught up. Having mono (w/ an ear infection to boot!) and being gone from class for a week and a half definitely throws a kink in your schedule. I've now been back to classes for a week and a half but I'm still not completely caught up. I didn't really miss A TON of stuff when I was sick but it's trying to keep up with what's going on now AND catching up on the stuff I missed that is difficult. It doesn't help that I came back in the middle of midterms! My profs are being great about rescheduling tests and pushing back deadlines. However, I'm not normally a student that's behind in her classes so I feel like I'm in foreign territory playin' this catch-up game. What's weird is that I feel a lot better now (except that my energy still isn't back 100%) so I feel like I should be able to keep up. But mono is killer on the immune system and zaps you of your energy and over-doing it can cause you to relapse. So I'm just doing the best I can. However, in the name of celebration...I only have one test left and I'm all caught up in the testing area. I had tests in Principles of Management and Supervision and Commercial Law last week and tests in World of Bus. and Romans so far this week. I have a Bus. Communications test Thurs nite @ 6:00 and then I'm done. I finished a couple little assignments that were due and just tonite I finished my resume assignment for Bus. Comm. Except for keeping up with current stuff, I only have 2 more projects to do and then I'm done with everything I missed while I was sick. I'm feeling like I can finally see the light at the end of the tunnel now. I've definitely had some freak out sessions along the way though...it gets soo overwhelming!! Luckily my profs have been so cooperative. Not to mention that I have great friends and a great boyfriend who are being understanding of my situation and doing anything they can to help. While I was really sick they took me to the nurse/doctor, took me to get my prescriptions, sat with me while I was throwing up, put cool washcloths on my head when I was feverish, let me copy notes that I missed in class, got me soup/crackers/gatorade/vitamin water/anything else that I needed, etc. Since being back to classes they've quizzed me over stuff to help me study for tests and helped me with other homework. Seriously, you guys are awesome!!! :)
I'm out for now, but more updates to come soon...it's been awhile since I could do this whole blogging thing...I'm excited :)

Back to blogging!
So I was getting really tired of Harding blocking my xanga account and me not being able to blog... so I made a blogger account. Hopefully they won't go and block this site anytime soon. Things here have been a little crazy but more of that later...Oh hey and be patient with me, this site is new to me so it may take me awhile to work out all the kinks. Hope your having a good one!
